Version Limits

Limits apply to FormulaShare versions other than Unlimited.

There are two main kinds of limits:

  • Limit on number of active rules (separate limits apply to standard and cross-object rules)
  • Limit on the number of records shared

Number of Active Rules Limit

When the maximum number of allowed rules are active, FormulaShare will prevent creating new rules of this type:

To create new rules of this type it will be necessary to deactivate existing ones, or upgrade to have this limit increased. Existing rules will continue to be applied as usual.

The limit of active rules can be increased or removed without it being necessary to re-install the package. For more information or to upgrade contact formulashare@cloudsundial.com.

Number of Records Shared Limit

The limit of number of records shared applies across all objects in the org.

When the your org is within 80% of the maximum number of records shared, FormulaShare will show a warning in the FormulaShare Rules list:

When the limit of maximum number of records shared has been met or exceeded, no new sharing will be applied, although existing sharing won't be removed. FormulaShare will display an error on the FormulaShare Rules list at this point.

As with the number of rules, this limit can be increased or removed without it being necessary to re-install the package. For more information or to upgrade contact formulashare@cloudsundial.com.
