Upgrade process
Upgrades are managed proactively, with options to take releases automatically or to manage these independently.
We communicate at least 5 weeks in advance of production upgrades, and carry out the following sequence of steps:
- Contact all customers to communicate planned dates for sandbox and production access.
- During the planned sandbox upgrade period upgrade all customer sandboxes to the candidate new version. From this point onwards, the current version on the AppExchange listing will be the candidate release version. Customers wishing to upgrade in production early can do this by installing from the AppExchange
- During the planned production upgrade period, upgrade customer production orgs who haven't opted out of automatic upgrades.
- Share finalised release notes once production upgrade is compelete.
Customers who opt out of automatic upgrades can upgrade at a time of their choosing by upgrading from the AppExchange listing.
After upgrading, all rules and configuration are preserved. If there's ever any need for manual intervention after upgrade, we will communicate any staeps required clearly in advance.
